Coalfire is the cybersecurity advisor that helps private and public sector organizations avert threats, close gaps, and effectively manage risk. Our professionals are among the most talented in the industry, and each and every day, they strive to provide the unbiased assessments, advice, and innovative solutions that help our clients meet their specific challenges and build long-term strategies to protect their organizations. For nearly 20 years, we’ve been on the cutting-edge of one of the world’s most important industries – and we’re committed to making the world a safer place by solving our clients’ toughest security challenges.

We’re growing rapidly and are currently seeking forensics leads to support our US offices.

    What you'll do

    • Lead PFI Investigations of credit card breaches. This may include carrying out onsite imaging of disk and memory, or remote acquisition of the same. As well, collection and analysis of collected images and triage data will be required. Furthermore, you will respond in a timely manner to clients and card brands and acquirers
    • Drive engagement with clients and guide them through the investigation. Oftentimes, clients are unaware of what is required during a PFI investigation. As a result, you will help guide the clients through the process of the investigation and clearly outline what tasks must be completed in order to move the investigation forward
    • Develop skills and techniques for efficient assessments which can be fed back into the incident response process to improve the overall process

    What you'll bring

    • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
    • Three years’ experience with doing Incident Response and Computer Forensic investigations for organizations of differing sizes
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with varied stakeholders (e.g. business, technical, executive)
    • Team player who thrives on collaboration and influencing without authority
    • Well-developed organization skills with a close attention to detail

    Bonus Points

    • Consulting/professional services experience is preferred
    • GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA) or equivalent certification
